Pimento cheese dip


  • 1 − 4 oz. can pimientos, chopped and oil reserved
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Durkee’s hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon style mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup freshly chopped parsley
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 lb. grated mild cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 lb. grated processed American cheese


Combine all ingredients except cheeses. Add grated cheeses and mix well. Moisten with reserved pimiento oil. Chill overnight to ripen flavor.
